Professor Craig Mahoney

Professor Craig Mahoney has been Principal and Vice-Chancellor at the University of the West of Scotland since August 2013. He is a graduate in chemistry and education from the University of Tasmania, has a Masters degree from the University of Birmingham and a PhD from the Queen's University of Belfast. As a chartered psychologist he has been a researcher and practitioner over 25 and has an international reputation as a performance psychologist. He is currently a Board member with, SportScotland, the Quality Assurance Agency, the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, Glasgow City of Science and is a Trustee for the Carnegie Trust for Universities of Scotland. He is in his second term as Convenor of Universities Scotland Learning and Teaching Committee.
